Throughout the year there are various programs designed to raise both awareness and funds for the Foundation. You are invited to explore these programs and make a decision about how you can help or become involved.
Champions for Children program launches September 1st
The Tony Stewart Foundation has partnered with Parker Hannifin Corporation in support of their 2008 Champions for Children fundraising campaign. This fundraising campaign will run from September 1 through November 15 and will ultimately benefit numerous children's organizations located throughout the United States. The U.S. ParkerStore network of over 300 outlets is committed to servicing local communities and Champions for Children is their way of giving back to those who need help.
Independent ParkerStore distributors voluntarily joined this program which will raise funds through a sweepstakes. Each distributor was asked to select a local charity as the beneficiary of all funds raised through their individual ParkerStore. Priority choices were given to children's hospitals, Ronald McDonald House, or Make-A-Wish Foundation. Alternatively, distributors were encouraged to nominate a children's charity that was qualified by the Tony Stewart Foundation as a “not-for-profit in good standing”.
The promotion is open only to those individuals, age 16 or older, who are legal residents of the United States. Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing, under the supervision of an Independent Sweepstakes Administrator, on or about December 5, 2008 from among all eligible entries received.
Grand Prize (1): $2,500 value which includes a $500 voucher to attend the Richard Petty “Rookie” Driving Experience during 2009, and $2,000 in American Express® Gift Cheques. Visit www.1800BEPETTY.com for additional information about the possibilities of the driving experience.
First Prize (1): $1,000 value which includes a $325 package to attend the 2009 “Prelude to the Dream” race at Eldora Speedway (www.eldoraspeedway.com) and $1,175 in American Express® Gift Cheques.
Second Prize (1): $1,000 value which includes a $350 package to attend the 2009 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis, Indiana and $650 in American Express® Gift Cheques.
Third Prizes (20): These consist of five (5) Tony Stewart Racing Twill Uniform Jackets, ten (10) Tony Stewart Racing Smoke Aprons, and five (5) Tony Stewart Racing Protective Eyewear.
